Comfortable atmosphere, classic tavern. Where else in the suburbs can you eat in a haunted inn? Very friendly and attentive service. Great food; the shepherds pie (real shepherds pie. Lamb. Beef would be cottage pie!) is worthy of epic poetry.

Recently, I had the opportunity to meet up with a former colleague and friend at Stone's Public House -- mostly because it's roughly halfway between where we live. But I know from past experience the (mostly comfort) food is good. It fit the bill perfectly for this get together. I love the eclectic ambiance. It's definitely an old, historic building -- but there are modern comforts mixed in with the old. The staff is great, and I would describe the food as "good." Nothing fancy or exceptional, but always good. I had clam chowder and a salad while my friend had a burger. We were both very happy with our meals. Stone's Public House is the kind of place I'd always be happy to visit when comfort/pub food is what I am in the mood for.

This is a cozy, old time tavern with a bar area and upstairs/downstairs dining areas. Downstairs has two toasty fireplaces. Sunday afternoons there's live Irish music at 2ish. The food is always good. American dishes like cheeseburgers, steaks and lobster rolls. Decent french fries. Irish inspired apps like Irish pizza, corned beef and cabbage egg rolls, and sausage rolls. A full Irish breakfast is also on the menu and the Colcannon soup is wonderfully comforting on a cold day. Service is good, not overly solicitous, but the servers do stop by occasionally to see how you are enjoying your food. I enjoy going to Stone's and suggest you check them out.

First time here! I had the Lobster roll which was excellent, and our service and server was very pleasant, provided Erica B! We sat out in the back patio for dinner and it was outstanding. Place has a great vibe. It will definitely be back, even though I live in Smithfield, Rhode Island

Excellent food, atmosphere, and waitress! Will be returning for sure! I believe I posted a negative review before confusing with another restaurant and I apologize, we have been traveling and eating out at many places with similar names. The food here was amazing!

I have been living in Ashland for two years and finally got to try this place! Our waitress (I think her name was Hannah) was so sweet and had such a good personality. The service was top tier. We loved all the food that we got. I had a side salad with my sandwich and the portions were huge. The fries my boyfriend got were perfectly crispy and he liked the sauce on the pulled pork. It had a little kick to it but nothing too crazy. I got a white sangria that the waitress suggested and my boyfriend had an old fashioned. We both liked our drinks. We will definitely be back!
